REFUSE AND RECYCLING
The Town of Cambria has contracted with Modern Corporation for refuse (garbage) and recycling pick-up.
- Refuse pick-up is on Thursday.
- Recycling pick-up is every other Thursday.
- All items (refuse, recycling & large items) must be curbside by 6:30am.
- Tires and construction materials are NOT accepted curbside.
If you have more waste than what will fit inside your cart, see the following options:
- You may purchase additional capacity stickers for $5 per tag at the Town Hall. These tags will be sold per sheet for $25.00. At this time, we only accept cash, exact change. Bags tagged for collection cannot exceed 30 gallons in size or 40 pounds in weight.
- If you need more consistent capacity, you may request an additional cart. The fee for an additional cart will be $85, plus an annual fee of $30 on your water bill to pay Modern for handling the extra cart.
Garbage collection will be delayed one day for the following holidays (when the holiday falls on a weekday):
- New Year's Day
- Memorial Day
- Independence Day
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Damaged Tote?
- If your tote is damaged, please reach out to us at 716-433-7664 x114 or email us at water@townofcambria.com. We will arrange to have your tote either repaired or replaced.

- ELECTRONIC items for recycling can be dropped off at the Municipal Building. Call 716-433-7664 x124 for specific details. For a list of acceptable items, view the Recyclable Materials List.
