Inspections & Site Work require the Building Inspector to be out of the office. Calling ahead to schedule an appointment is strongly reccomended. The Town of Cambria Building Inspector is also the Code Enforcement Officer. He is charged by the Town Board to enforce federal, state and municipal regulations to protect the health, safety, and welfare of our citizens.
IMPORTANT!
IF YOUR PROJECT REQUIRES AN APPEARANCE BEFORE THE PLANNING OR ZONING BOARD, APPLICATIONS (INCLUDING ALL REQUIRED PAPERWORK AND ASSOCIATED FEES) MUST BE SUBMITTED TO OUR OFFICE BY THE 2ND TO LAST BUSINESS DAY OF THE MONTH BY 3:30 pm TO BE PLACED ON THE NEXT MONTH'S AGENDA. This is due to time constraints to prepare the proper paperwork with the various parties involved which are at times out of our control. Special permits, variances, and sub-division charges are based upon the complexity of the project and include consulting engineer costs, advertising fees, etc.

New Build Permit Requirements:
We must have all of this before we can process your permit or get you an address.
1. NYS certified stamped engineered blue prints
2. Survey showing the plot plan of the house
3. Septic certification from the County
4. Energy Compliance Report (i.e. Res check)
